So, I finally got around to updating since I've been so busy this semester. Here's all that's happened so far:

I've UPGRADED to a Kodak EasyShare C613. And, yes, I do mean upgraded. I now have the ability to use zoom, hooray! This also means that I've jumped from 1 megapixel all the way up to 6. Oh, and I can store at least 8 times as many pictures. Unfortunately, I only have a digital screen to show me what I'm pointing at, no manual viewfinder. This is very bad in high sunlight... aka Oklahoma. A lot of the time, I just have to shoot blindly and hope it turns out okay. The only other issue is that it's so light that it is more easily affected by the wind than its MUCH heavier predecessor. This can be a problem in 30+ mph winds. Oh, well. You guys will have to tell me if you think my new camera seems better or worse than the last one.

Now to the funnel clouds. So we had some major storm fronts move through the area these past few weeks and I managed to get out to take pics of the one last Thursday (4/3). While I was running around the OU campus photographing the storm as it passed over us, I noticed a sudden explosion of cloud activity overhead. It turns out I had a wall cloud form right over top of me. It was really cool to watch it descend and come together...well until sections of it began rotating. There were at least two areas of rotation, but they didn't amount to anything. Within about 20 minutes or so, we got a hard rain and the wall cloud fell apart. I'll try to get some pics of it up later.
